Hello World

This tutorial will help you create a simple Hello World template from scratch.

 

  • Start at the Add On Configuration pages
  • Navigate to TEMPLATES > List.
  • In the Add New Template field write helloworld and push the Add button

Add Template

  • At the Edit Template form specify a name, check enabled and check Template Type Gadget Duration.

The Template Type Gadget Duration will make it available for select in Gadgets of type Duration.

 

  • Navigate to TEMPLATES > Developer
  • Check the Developer Mode checkbox and submit the form.
  • Add a new Dashboard. Name it TTB Hello World. Navigate to the newly created dashboard and click the Add Gadget link or button. Add the TTB Duration gadget.

 

  • Configure the gadget. Select the newly created template and any saved filter or project. Save configuration.

 

  • Click the Edit File link

  • Edit the Velocity template content and save. Simply delete the content and write Hello World !

 

  • Go back to Dashboard, refresh the Gadget and that is it.
