Use custom fields to store SLA values and display the fields in the Issue Navigator and the likes.
The use of custom fields are optionally.
You can add them manually or you can have the add-on add them to JIRA.
The custom fields can not be edited manually. There are updated by the Add-on. So no need to add them to a screen.

Add and remove custom fields
Custom Fields can be administered (added, removed, edited, searches) at the JIRA configuration pages like any other custom field.
On how to do this, refer the JIRA documentation.
You can also have the Add On to add the Custom Fields.
A Custom Field must be enabled for the Add On in order to be updated.

Name | The Custom Field Name. This is not visible for the end user. |
Description | The Custom Field description. Can be edited and the JIRA configuration pages. |
Custom Name | The name of the Custom Field as used in views and searches. This name is visible for the end user. |
Custom Field Id | The id of the custom field. |
Change History | Change History can be enabled or disabled. If disabled, change history will not be updated. If enabled, change history will be updated and viewable for the end uses at the JIRA View Issue page. |
Status | Whether or not the Add On will update the custom field. |
